Sharing is caring!

Here’s a little twist on a classic Margarita that is perfect for your St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Not only does it taste refreshing and delicious, but it also has a bright green hue that is dressed for the occasion!

Every St. Patrick’s Day, it’s all about the green for me! I wear green, serve green food, and drink green cocktails. That’s how I came up with serving this Midori Margarita for this year’s celebration.

A Fun Twist on a Classic Margarita

This cocktail is made with Midori liqueur, a melon-flavored liqueur crafted from sweet and juicy muskmelons. Its vibrant color and fruity taste add a fun and refreshing twist to classic cocktails. While Midori is fantastic in a variety of drinks, it truly shines in this margarita!

The combination of citrus and melon flavors in this Midori Margarita is a refreshing take on the traditional recipe we all know and love. I promise this will become a new addition to your favorite cocktail list!

So, without further ado, here’s how to mix up this vibrant and delicious margarita!

How to Make a Midori Margarita

Ingredients You’ll Need

This cocktail comes together in just two minutes with a handful of simple ingredients:

  • Blanco Tequila – The smooth base of your margarita
  • Midori Liqueur – For that signature green color and fruity melon flavor
  • Fresh Lime Juice – Adds the perfect citrusy balance
  • Agave Nectar – A touch of sweetness to smooth out the tequila’s bite

Step-by-Step Instructions

The beauty of this cocktail is in its simplicity. The only prep work required is juicing a lime—that’s it!

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add equal parts Blanco Tequila and Midori (2 oz each).
  3. Pour in about 1 oz of fresh lime juice—this is typically the juice from one lime.
  4. Add 1-2 teaspoons of agave nectar to balance the flavors.
  5. Shake well until everything is chilled and mixed.
  6. Strain over ice into your favorite cocktail glass.
  7. Garnish with a lime wedge, lemon slice, or both for an extra festive touch!
