Smoked Oyster Appetizer
When it comes to Oscar night, I love serving elegant appetizers that pair perfectly with Champagne or Martinis. Seafood is always on my menu, with shrimp and crab making frequent appearances—but why not try something new and unexpected? Smoked oysters are an excellent choice: rich, flavorful, and delicious!
You can find smoked oysters conveniently packaged in tins at the grocery store.
My sister Laura and I have been enjoying them for years, usually atop a simple saltine cracker. But for an occasion as glamorous as Awards Night, they deserve an upgrade!

For this special evening, I’ve paired smoked oysters with creamy goat cheese and a touch of bacon jam. The tangy, earthy flavor of goat cheese beautifully balances the briny richness of the oysters, while the bacon jam adds a subtle sweetness that ties everything together. Served on buttery Club Crackers and finished with a sprinkle of fresh chives, these little bites are both decadent and elegant.
If you prefer a less sweet option, swap the bacon jam for jalapeño jelly or a bold drizzle of sriracha—both bring a fantastic twist to this luxurious appetizer.
So, for your watch party this year, why not shake things up with a tin of smoked oysters? They’re rich, indulgent, and the perfect accompaniment to a night of Hollywood glamour. Have fun watching the red carpet unfold with an oyster in hand—cheers!
