Smoked Salmon Cucumber Bites
Oscar Night is like a holiday in my house. I prepare special drinks or buy some good Champagne to sip while I watch the show. I also prepare classy appetizers to munch on while I critique what all the women are wearing! LOL.
My appetizer lineup usually involves seafood—because let’s be honest, seafood pairs beautifully with Champagne and Martinis! This year, I’m sipping bubbly and enjoying these Smoked Salmon Cucumber Bites. They’re elegant, delicious, and take just minutes to put together.
So, without further ado, here’s how you can make these stunning little bites for your next gathering!

A Quick & Elegant Appetizer
These Smoked Salmon Cucumber Bites may look fancy, but they couldn’t be easier to make. You can find smoked salmon pre-packaged at most grocery stores, and once you have that, the rest comes together in no time.
Start by slicing an English cucumber into rounds, making sure to pat them dry with a paper towel—this step is key to keeping the cream cheese mixture in place.

I love using whipped cream cheese with chives, but if you can’t find it, simply mix in some finely chopped fresh chives yourself.
To the cream cheese, add rinsed and chopped capers along with fresh dill.
This creates a creamy, tangy base that pairs perfectly with the salmon. A small dollop of this mixture goes on each cucumber slice, followed by a delicate piece of smoked salmon.

The Finishing Touches
What truly elevates these bites is the garnish.
A tiny sprig of fresh dill, a sprinkle of finishing sea salt, and a touch of lemon zest bring out the bright, fresh flavors.
My sister Fran gifted me a wonderful Meyer Lemon Sea Salt, which was perfect for this dish. But if you don’t have a sister who spoils you with gourmet salts, Maldon Sea Salt works just as well!
Capers add a briny, citrusy pop that complements the salmon beautifully, making every bite taste luxurious.
These appetizers are not only delicious but also look stunning on a serving tray.

Perfect for Any Occasion
For my Oscar Night celebration, I’ll be pairing these bites with some Crab Cake Bites, popping open a bottle of Champagne, and texting my sisters as we watch the Red Carpet. Even though we live in different states, we still enjoy our snacks and cocktails while critiquing all of Hollywood from our couches!
Whether you’re hosting an award show viewing party, a cocktail night, or just want a light and elegant appetizer, these Smoked Salmon Cucumber Bites are a must-try.
They’re simple, stunning, and bursting with flavor. Enjoy!
