Strawberry Ice Cubes in Prosecco
On Valentine’s Day, my go-to cocktail is always Champagne. It’s indulgent, delicious, and has a way of making the day feel extra special. While a glass of Champagne or Prosecco is already perfect, why not elevate it even more? The perfect addition to your coupe is a delightful Strawberry Ice Cube with a big, juicy berry frozen in the middle!
These little ice cubes are incredibly easy to make and look so adorable floating in your glass. Imagine the surprise on your partner’s or bestie’s face when you serve them this special drink. To make it even cuter, I found heart-shaped silicone molds which add an extra touch of charm.
Let’s dive into how to create these beautiful Strawberry Ice Cubes to elevate your Valentine’s Day celebration!
How to Make Strawberry Ice Cubes

The Ingredients You’ll Need
The beauty of this recipe lies in its simplicity! All you need are a few fresh strawberries, some strawberry jam, and water. The jam gives the cubes a subtle strawberry flavor that complements your Prosecco without overpowering it. Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Fresh strawberries (1 large berry per cube)
- Strawberry jam (1 heaping tablespoon per cube)
- Water to dilute the jam

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare Your Silicone Mold
Start by placing your heart-shaped silicone mold on a baking sheet. Trust me on this—it makes transporting the filled molds to the freezer so much easier and prevents spills. - Melt the Jam
Scoop the strawberry jam into a microwave-safe cup and heat it in the microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring halfway through. You can also melt the jam on the stove if you prefer. - Dilute and Fill
Once the jam is melted, mix it with water to make about two cups of liquid. Place one cleaned, trimmed strawberry into each mold cavity, then pour the jam mixture over the berries. - Freeze
Position the strawberries stem-side up and ensure they’re sitting upright in the mold (cutting a bit off the bottom of each berry helps them sit flat). Freeze the molds for several hours or overnight.

Tips for Perfect Strawberry Ice Cubes
- Use a Baking Sheet: As mentioned earlier, a baking sheet under your mold is a lifesaver when dealing with liquid-filled molds.
- Go Easy on the Jam: You want just a hint of strawberry flavor as the cubes melt, so don’t go overboard with the jam—it should enhance, not overpower, the Prosecco.
- Get Creative: If you’re serving littles, these cubes are just as fun in sparkling water or 7-Up for a festive, alcohol-free option!

The Perfect Valentine’s Day Touch
As the cubes melt, they release a light pink hue and a subtle strawberry essence, adding elegance and festivity to your drink.
Whether you’re celebrating with your partner, friends, or family, these Strawberry Ice Cubes in Prosecco are a simple way to make Valentine’s Day feel extra indulgent and full of love.
Pairing with Heart-Shaped Appetizers
Take your Valentine’s Day celebration to the next level by pairing your Strawberry Ice Cubes in Prosecco with delightful heart-shaped appetizers. Here are a few ideas that are as charming as they are delicious:
- Caprese Phyllo Cups: These bite-sized phyllo cups are filled with a blend of fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil, then drizzled with balsamic glaze. Their light, fresh flavors perfectly complement the fruity and bubbly Prosecco.
- Heart-Shaped Pizza: Get creative with pizza dough and shape it into adorable hearts! Add your favorite toppings, from classic mozzarella and pepperoni to a white sauce with arugula for a more sophisticated twist. These pizzas make a hearty, fun addition to your Valentine’s Day spread.
- Heart-Shaped Shrimp Toast: Elevate this classic appetizer by cutting the bread into heart shapes before topping it with the flavorful shrimp mixture. Crisp, golden, and utterly delicious, these pair beautifully with a glass of bubbly.
Whether you’re serving just one or all three, these heart-shaped appetizers are the perfect pairing to make your Valentine’s Day truly special!
Enjoy!
Happy Valentine’s Day, and cheers to hearts, love, and indulgence!
